On August 16, the Studio-Gallery of Agostino Veroni in Marina di Pietrasanta hosted the presentation of The Labyrinth of the Hypnotist. Art critic Giammarco Puntelli introduced the new book, published by Giorgio Mondadori. The publication explores the creative journeys of several artists. Among them is Agostino Veroni, known for his modern oil painting textures and emotionally rich coastal scenes.
Puntelli compares the work of classic and modern artists such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Rothko, Basquiat, and Goya. He shows how each painter expresses human emotion through personal and powerful visual language.
Two of Veroni’s works—Mareggiata and Paesaggio—appear in the book. These paintings highlight his expressive brushstrokes, vivid colors, and deep connection to the Italian coast.
The book also includes The First Grail by Margaret Keane, known for its cinematic role in a Tim Burton film. This reinforces the international significance of the artists featured.
During the event, Puntelli spoke about two more works by Veroni:
-
Tramonto sul mare, published in the opening pages of CAM Mondadori 2017
-
Girasoli, a painting with deep introspection and emotional depth
Agostino Veroni’s art, shaped by modern oil painting textures, invites viewers into a world of light, color, and layered meaning. His blend of Italian heritage with a modern approach places him at the forefront of today’s coastal art scene.
